Myriam Audrey Dinah Nydegger is born in Winterthur Switzerland and based in Berlin since 2014.
Mya studied voice and jazz piano at the “Hochschule der Künste” in Berne and attended various jazz workshops & competitions such as the annual IASJ Jazz Meeting at Berklee College of Music, the Internationale
Meisterkurse Vaduz and the Shure Montreux Voice Competition with Universal Music & Bea Young Artists Foundation.
During her studies she devoted herself entirely to the world of jazz. She toured in various formations and played at the Olympic Games in Beijing (2009) and at Midi-Festival in Shanghai & Beijing (2011).
After releasing two singer & songwriter albums under her own name (Sudden Breeze; Nation Music, 2009 and Wayfaring Trails; Sophie Records/22d/Royal Flame, 2013) she moved to Berlin.

Meanwhile she works as a pianist, keyboarder & backing singer and plays with artists such as LOTTE, Wilhelmine, Anaïs, Ian Hooper, Marianne Rosenberg, LUNA, Alexander Knappe, Graham Candy, Friedrich Lichtenstein and many more.

Since 2015 she works as a freelance songwriter and producer for various solo artists like Wilhelmine, Jona Straub, LNA, Marianne Neumann, Mariama, Ay Wing, Johanna Amélie, LISCH, Julian Brown, Mono Green and many more.
She co-wrote the theme song for the Swiss hit movie ‘Platzspitzbaby’ and the German ZDF/ARD productions ‘Blochin’ and ‘Rote Rosen’.

Besides her work as a pianist and producer for others she writes and produces for her instrumental Solo project and her Duo side project DINAH with Guitarist Robert Kerner. Dedicated to the analogue sounds of the seventies and eighties she combines warm vintage moods with electronic influences from modern pop music.

Between 2014 and 2020, she founded and ran the Songcircle stages in Berlin, Zuerich and Vienna. The Songcircle events became an institution for independent songwriters, giving them the chance to perform in different cities and build a network.

Inspired by her diverse activities for other projects, she started to write and produce for her side project DINAH. Dedicated to the analogue sounds of the eighties she combines warm vintage moods with electronic influences from modern pop music. Her EP “Afterglow” was released in May 2020. (listentodinah.com)
