ABOUT

Myriam Audrey Dinah Nydegger was born in Winterthur, Switzerland, and now lives in Berlin, Germany. She discovered her love of artists such as Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and Erroll Garner at an early age through her jazz-loving father. After graduating from high school, she studied singing and jazz piano at the Bern University of the Arts and took part in various jazz workshops and competitions, including the annual IASJ Jazz Meeting at Berklee College of Music, the International Master Classes in Vaduz and the Shure Montreux Voice Competition in collaboration with Universal Music and the Bea Young Artists Foundation. During her studies, she devoted herself entirely to the world of jazz. She toured Europe with her own project and performed at the Olympic Games in Beijing and at the Midi Festival in Shanghai and Beijing.

After releasing two albums, Mya Audrey increasingly focused on production work and performed as a pianist, keyboardist and backing vocalist. She played and toured with artists such as Glen Hansard, Rea Garvey, Marianne Rosenberg, Wilhelmine, Lotte, Alexander Knappe and many more. With Glen Hansard she accompanied Pearl Jam on their “Dark Matter World Tour” in the summer of 2024 as support in the USA. Mya had the great opportunity to perform at venues such as Madison Square Garden and the Beacon Theatre in New York and at Wrigley Field Stadium in Chicago.

In addition to her career as a live performer, she continues to work as a producer, songwriter and studio musician. She has produced for artists such as Kool Savas (rework “Mona Lisa”, Level Space Edition), Mieze Katz (lead singer of Mia), Wilhelmine, Marianne Neumann, LNA and many more. In the field of film music, she composed for the Swiss film “Platzspitzbaby” and the German ZDF/ARD productions “Blochin” and “Rote Rosen”.

In the last two years, in addition to her live and studio work, she has once again focused on composing and producing her own music. This has resulted in a predominantly instrumental album that combines jazz, classical and electronic music and will be released in 2025 on Blue Marble, a neo classic label based in Hamburg, Germany.
